As one of the first generation of Wesley deaconesses, she was one of the Sisters present at the first public recognition service in July 1891. She was the first Sister-in-Charge of Mewburn House in London when it opened in 1890, but resigned from the Order in 1899 to marry the Rev. William C. Williams (c.1840-1903; e.m. 1862). She died at Loughborough of acute pneumonia on 3 April 1900.
