Honey, John Cleverdon
1834-1912; e.m. 1856

BC minister, born at Bridgerule, Devon on 23 November 1834 and educated at Shebbear College. During his ministry at Waterloo Road Chapel, London he began extensive open-air work. He was President of the Conference in 1878 and in 1881 became Secretary of the BC Fire Insurance Association. At Barry he took a leading part in an anti-liquor and anti-licence campaign. He died atBideford on 14 February 1912.
