Hudson, John Rathbone
1879-1932; e.m. 1906

WM missionary to India. He trained at Didsbury College and went to the Lucknow and Benares District in 1907. After a period with the YMCA in France, he served in the Mission to the Doms in Benares, where he supervised the expansion of the Wesley Industrial School and its removal to Benares in 1920. In 1931 he agreed to serve for three years in British Guiana while a younger Hindi-speaking man trained for the East India Mission there, but died of malaria and enteric fever after only one year, on 13 September 1932.
