Humphreys, Edward

WM minister, born on 6 December 1846 at Cefn Blodwel near Oswestry. An able and popular preacher and an outstanding administator, he was a highly respected leader of Welsh Methodism in his day. He was secretary of the North Wales District 1893-1903, first President of the Welsh Assembly in 1899 and Chairman of the First North Wales District 1903- 1908, and was appointed to the Legal Hundred in 1899.
