Pritchard, Edward Cook
1833-1918; e.m. 1856

PM missionary in Australia, born on 1 December 1833 at Stamford Bridge. After brief service in England, he arrived in Hobart (Tasmania) in 1860 and exercised ministries there and in NSW until 1875 and 1882-88. A noted evangelist, many experienced conversion under his ministry and church membership grew considerably. He spoke at many camp meetings where attendance were as high as 800. In 1886 he was elected President of the PM Assembly of NSW.
