UMFC missionary in China, born on 6 November 1845. Aftr three years in English circuits he went out as a medical missionary to Ningpo, China from 1874 to 1904 and from 1911 until his retirement to Walthamstow in 1918. He was President of the UMFC in 1897. He died in London on 17 July 1919.
