Tripp, Ann
1745-1823

She was converted under Thomas Maxfield. In 1763 she joined Mary Bosanquet's school at Leytonstone as a teacher and moved with them to Cross Hall. When Mary married John Fletcher and moved to Madeley, Ann went to Leeds with Sarah Ryan. They became known as 'the Female Brethren' and wielded considerable influence in Leeds Methodism. Ann was a class leader and probably preached. She lived to be one of the oldest members at the 'Old Boggart House' and died on 16 September 1823.
