Wenyon, Dr Charles
1848-1924; e.m. 1871

WM missionary in China, born at Wednesbury on 29 September 1848. He sailed to China in 1880. He founded the Fatshan (Fushan) hospital and its Medical Centre for the training of Chinese medical students. Ill health forced his return home in 1896. From 1901 to 1906 he was minister of Wesley's Chapel, London. He died at High Barnet on 18 July 1924.
