Ellis, James John, K-i-H
1883-1962; e.m. 1907

WM missionary to India, born at Wacton, Norfolk, a son of the manse. After taking his MSc, he began training at Didsbury College to become a missionary doctor. He spent 31 years in the Trichinopoly District. He taught science at the Findlay High School, Mannargudi, later returning as Vice-Principal. As an evangelist in Dharapuram he baptized the first converts in the mass movement. He died at Filey on 8 July 1962.
