Smith, Henry
1857-1939; e.m. 1878

MNC and UM minister and President of the UM Conference in 1920. He was born at Pendleton, Manchester and trained for the MNC ministry at Ranmoor College, Sheffield. From 1907 to 1921 he was stationed in London as Connexional Editor, combining that role from 1912 to 1918 with that of Warden of the UM Deaconess Institute. He retired to Brighton in 1925 and died there on 22 February 1939.
