Teacher and calligrapher. She was educated at the North London Collegiate School and Furzedown College. She was head of the junior school of Farringtons, Chiselhurst from 1957 to 1982, being Head of the Junior School from 1965 until her retirement. The author of hymns and songs for children, she contributed a new verse to 'Tell me the stories of Jesus' (HP 153 when some of her pupils pointed out that it should end, not with the Cross but with the risen Christ. She also broadcast on the BBC Education service and published several books on handwriting.
