This was the pen-name of Mrs Sybil Fern Haddock, wife of a village schoolmaster on the Isle of Wight, where she lived for nearly 70 years, though born in Yorkshire. A contributor to the Methodist Times and PM Leader, she was best known for her column 'Ask Margaret Harwood' which ran in the Methodist Recorder from 1937 until 1975. Harwood House, Cramlingham, commemorates her support of MHA, for which she made a special Christmas Appeal in the Recorder. She opened 'Green Meadows', their home in Freshwater, IOW, in 1963.
