King, Thomas
1788-1874; e.m. 1819

PM minister, born in Nottingham on 6 July 1788. He attended the PM Connexion's preparatory meeting there in 1819. He itinerated almost wholly in the North and Midlands, being credited with introducing PM into Grimsby in 1819. He was twice President of the Conference, in 1825 and 1848, and served as the General Book Steward 1854-1858. As the Connexion's oldest active minister, he attended the Jubilee Conference at Tunstall in 1860, preaching the official Conference sermon, which was published. He died on 11 July 1874.
