Missionary in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka). She entered the Wesley Deaconess Order in 1896. After completing her training as a nurse and midwife, she was consecrated in April 1897 before sailing for Puttur, Jaffna. She was the first Wesley Deaconess in Ceylon and when she was joined by a colleague, Faith Hunter, and had learned Tamil, she began 35 years of evangelical and medical service at Puttur, receiving an MBE for her work there. She retired in 1931 died in the LMS hospital at Travancore in 1933
