Nuttall, Alice (née Battison)
1920-2006

Born on 12 July 1920 at St Albans, she married Donald Nuttall, a London doctor and they later lived in Leeds and Bardsey. She became a local preacher in 1951 and was very much involved with the LPMAA. She was a talented musician and had a great love of animals. In 1969 she became the first woman to be elected President of LPMAA. Her interests and enthusiasm continued despite a severe stroke in 1989. Just before her death she was visited by the last President of LPMAA, Lois Morton of Penrith. She died on 6 April 2006.
