The newspaper was published weekly in Manchester between 1883 and 1908, when it was incorporated in the Primitive Methodist Leader. Its scope was indicated by its full original title: Primitive Methodist World, Sunday School Worker and Gospel Temperance Record, but the reference to temperance was dropped in 1890.
