Pugh, Philip
1817-1871; e.m. 1837

PM itinerant, born in Shrewsbury. Until 1839 he served on the Irish Mission. He was Connexional Editor from 1867 until his death and President of the PM Conference in 1869. He was a polemic whose major disputations were with the Mormons and the hyper-Calvinist Samuel Cozens, a Willenhall Baptist minister, producing a series of pamphlets beginning in 1852.
