MNC minister, born in 1777 at Brighouse. He wrote at least 44 theological tracts, many of a polemical nature. Some were in reply to Joseph Barker. He also crossed swords with Calvinists, Socinians and Roman Catholics and challenged Adam Clarke's views on the eternal sonship of Christ. He was President of the MNC Conference in 1817 and 1837. He died on 12 April 1850.
