Ward, Dr Charles Dewick
1829-1902; e.m. 1850

President of the MNC Conference in 1876, when he received the degree of D.D. from Ohio Unversity, was born on 1 March 1829 at Hucknall Torkard and was converted at Parliament Street church, Nottingham in July 1845. He was Connexional Editorand Book Steward from 1880 to 1887, and also at various times was the Secretary of the Auxiliary Fund, Treasurer of the Paternal Fund, and a Guardian Representative. He retired to Nottingham in 1891, where he died on 6 August 1902.
