is the custodian trustee body for the holding of certain Connexional Funds and is the successor to the Trustees for the WM Connexional Funds (Registered), incorporated in 1925. The name was changed by the Methodist Church Act 1939.) It has no powers of its own, but is under the direction of the Managing Trustees of the connexional fund concerned. It can nevertheless be sued for negligence in a court of law if in some way it neglects its responsibility of caring for the assets entrusted to it.
