An inter-denominational society devoted to the understanding and interpretation of Wesleyan Arminian doctrine and devotion. It was founded in 1985 by Dr Henry McGonigle, Principal of the British Isles Nazarene Theological College and Drs A. Skevington Wood and William Parkes of the Methodist Church. It was conceived as a Wesleyan response to the Calvinistic outlook of the Westminster Fellowship. Though not strictly either a theological or a historical society, it seeks to promote the total Wesleyan ethos within an evangelical affirmation. Its activities include residential conferences, a regular newsletter and other publishing. There is a special concern for an acceptable understanding and interpretation of entire sanctification or 'perfect love'.
