As a result of the 'Fruitful Field' project all the Church's provision for training and development in ministry, leadership and discipleship was brought together in 2013 in a single network. In addition to two residential centres, the Queen's Foundation and Cliff College, and some headquarters personnel, staff and activities are dispersed in eleven regions, one for Wales, one for Scotland and Shetland, and nine for England, in order to delivber programmes aslocally and accessibly as possible. The Network was initially overseen by its committee, answerable to the Ministries Committee and the Methodist Council, but the functions of the committee were subsequently moved to the Property Development Committee and the Ministries Committee. The Network became known simply as The Learning Network.
