Primitive Methodist missionary, born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and educated at Taylor Memorial School, Earsdon,Hartley College and Cambridge University. He served in Southern Nigeria as a missionary in 1920-1925, where he was the Vice-Principal of the Oron Institute, and founder and Principal of Uzuakolli College. He died on11 December 1953.
