Annual Assembly

The WMA and UMFC equivalent of the Conference, held annually in July, it had only four ex officio members: the President, Secretary, Corresponding Secretary and Connexional Treasurer. The rest, ministers and laymen, were elected by the circuit quarterly meetings, in the ratio of one per 500 members, up to a maximum of three. The Assembly lasted up to 21 days and dealt with all matters relating to doctrine and discipline, rules and regulations in respect of circuits, chapels, connexional funds, membership and ministerial appointments.
