MNC minister, born on 19 December 1865 in Leicester and trained at Ranmoor College. He edited the monthly magazine Young People. In 1916 he published an influential book of responsive services Sanctuary Worship, followed by the less successful Young People's Worship (1920). He was Presidentof the UM Conference in 1922.
