Nicholson, Samuel
1811-1887; e.m. 1829

He was born at Dromard, Co. Down on 14 February 1811, with maternal grandparents who belonged to the Church of Scotland. He was converted at Moira in 1822 and became a WM local preacher in 1827. He entered the WM itinerancy in 1829, but resigned in 1830/31. In 1840 he became a MNC itinerant, serving entirely in Irish circuits until his retirement in 1886. He died at Lisburn on 22 June 1887.
