Primitive Methodist Revivalists

An obscure group, dating from the same time as the Gospel Pilgrims, it is thought to have originated from the same schism in the Bradford PM Circuit. Most of the available information comes from two printed preaching plans dated 1832 and 1833. These show a fluid group of societies under the leadership of Billy Wood, a well-known local eccentric. They seem to have merged with the Gospel Pilgrims by the 1840s.
